Book Page Wreath
It’s the ideal art wall decor for linguists, philologists and everyone, who likes reading. First, you need to roll up the book pages in such a way that they look like cones. Next, you need to cut out a circle from carton or a large piece of box and cut a smaller circle in the middle of it. As a result, you will get a piece of a ring form. Or, you can just cut the full circle like on the image above.
Now, it’s time to attach the cones to the circle. Start with 4 quadrants (north, south, east, west) and then attach all the rest of cones with the help of hot glue. In order to create such a cool design, you will need to make several layers. The wreath will look better if the cones will be of different sizes.

To start, take 5 white turkey feathers, dip their ends into a jar with gold paint and immediately cover them with glitter. Place them on a tray or something that will allow them to balance while drying. Using a floral tape, attach the embroidery floss to each feather, using the floss of different lengths. Tie each feather to the pants hanger and your wall art is ready.

If you don’t have so many of them, ask your friends or neighbors if they have some. Take a plywood board and attach the corks to it, using mastic or glue. You are free to place the corks in a certain pattern or go absolutely random.
After all the corks are in place, cover the ready wall hanging with glossy polyurethane with a paint brush. In addition, you are free to paint the whole piece with any color you like. However, in such a case, it’s more convenient to paint the corks before they are attached to the plywood board.

After making the necessary amount of flowers (we think that 15 are enough), you can paint them in any color you need. Now, attach them to the canvas in a certain pattern. Or, you can make such a wall art as on the image above by gluing the ends of the flowers by five in a row.
Paper Silhouette Art
Decorative wall art with silhouettes always look mysterious. If you have light walls cut out various silhouettes (people, animals, nature, objects) from dark paper and attach them to the walls, placing frames around them. If you have dark walls, make the silhouettes of white or any other light paper.
However, you can make this art project more personalized. Take the photos of your family members, friends, pets and cut out their silhouettes. The funnier the poses, the cuter wall art you will get. Moreover, some silhouettes can be placed not in the frame, but outside it.
Want to make your old mirror look absolutely different? Decorate it with a rope. Such a mirror can be used for bathroom wall art and decor or any other room if it’s designed in nautical or rustic style. If your mirror has some frame, you can try to make the decor on it.
Also, you can attach the rope directly to the mirrored surface or place a mirror on a particle board of the same form but of a bigger size. In the latter case, the board will serve as a basis for the mirror frame. The rope is glued to the mirror or frame with the help of hot glue. Glue by section, holding each one for a few seconds for the glue to cool and make its work.

If you love knitting, you must have many leftovers of yarn at your home. Now, it’s time to use them. Find a twig, branch or a piece of dowel and attach it to the wall. Now, cut the yarn twice as long as you want your wall hanging to be. Fold the piece of yarn twice and place the folded end over the branch towards the front. Pass the ends of yarn through the loop and pull tight. Do the same with the rest of yarn.
When all the pieces of yarn are on the branch, you may play with the length. For instance, you can make an asymmetrical angle as well as V, W or curve form. This idea will look great at nursery and bedroom. Also, it can be used for outdoor wall art decor. The yarn can be of one color or several ones, which can form stripes. Also, yarn of various weights and materials can be used.

Watercolor Phrase Art
Don’t get anxious, you won’t need any special painting skills for this project. Let’s start with a phrase. Print out any phrase or quote you like in the font and size you want. The cursive font is the most convenient variant as when the letters are connected, it’s easier to pull off the masking fluid.
Place the phrase under the watercolor paper and hold it to a window during daylight or use a lightbox in order to see the phrase through the paper. Apply the masking fluid to the place, where the phrase is (repeat the lines of each letter). Let it dry until it’s just a bit tacky.
Now, use a brush, watercolors and water to create splashes of color around and over the phrase. By using less water, you will make the color more concentrated and if you want two colors to blend, do that with a wet brush. After the watercolor dries, pull of the masking fluid.
Chevron Wall Art
You need 70 7-8 inches long wooden shims. Cut one end of each shim at a 45-degree angle. Place half of the shims on the surface in such a way that all their ends point in the same direction. Now, place the second half of the shims so that their angles were opposite the angles of the first set. Divide the shims into seven groups by 10.
Using a spray paint, color each group into a different color and let the pieces dry. Draw three vertical lines on the wall, which will serve as center lines for your chevrons. Attach sticky tabs to the back of each shim. Place the shims with the cut ends along the line on the left side and then on the right side, forming the chevron pattern. In such a way, create three wall decor pieces.
Faux Metal Wall Art Decor
Metal wall art decor and sculptures are in trend now. However, the DIY projects with metal are pretty hard and can’t be fulfilled by everyone. That’s why, we offer you a substitution. This project is a lighter and cheaper alternative to the usage of real metal.
